Why we are committed to local training

Why we are committed to local training

The lack of qualified professionals is one of the main causes of avoidable blindness in developing countries. Since our beginnings, Vision Mundi has been committed to training doctors, optometrists and local health personnel so that they are the ones who lead change in their communities. In this way, we ensure accessible, consistent and sustainable care, breaking the cycle between blindness, poverty and social exclusion.

“Without trained local staff, there is no sustainable eye care.”
