She obtained her optometry degree in 2012, as part of the first cohort of opticians trained in Bolivia.
She is currently responsible for the Optical Centre at the Hernández Vera Hospital in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, which provides around 2,000 new glasses every year at affordable prices.
