November 2025, Dr. Richard Zebaze, a Cameroonian doctor, begins his ophthalmology training.

During the next four years, he will study the specialty of Ophthalmology in Tanzania, at the KILIMANJARO MEDICAL UNIVERSITY CENTRE.

Afterwards, he will work in Maroua, in northern Cameroon, becoming the second ophthalmologist for a region of more than four million inhabitants.

He will collaborate there with Dr. Nelly Fopoussy, who has been working in this remote region for five years and is also a Visión Mundi scholarship recipient.

We wish him an excellent start to his training.
